Course Description When you look at the maps, you will see it is a well-defined course through a picturesque area near the Peel River. So it is flat & fast. Starting from the No.1 Oval, runner’s head out along the pathway alongside the Peel River. They run past Munro’s Mill and across the Peel River. Runners than follow a route through the adjacent sporting fields before joining the levy bank that will take to the pathway along Goonoo Goonoo Road. This Pathway takes the runners back towards the Peel River once they reach the Velodrome they will follow the pathway towards the beautiful tree lined King George v Avenue. Although the oak trees will probably be bare at this time of year, it is soon obvious why the locals recently have fought so hard to gain a Heritage Listing for the 80 year old trees from being cut down to widen the road for development.

A turnaround point is at the end of KG v Ave. Runners will follow the tree lined avenue back to the velodrome, were they will join the pathway which will take them back to Munro’s Mill were they will again crossing the Peel River. They again make their way through the adjacent sporting fields, however this time they will cross the Peel River at the Footbridge returning No. 1 oval were it all started 21.1 km’s ago.
